Welcome to The Grey Haired Guys Homepage!
As we age, men typically become more independent, professional and distinguished looking. That's definitely the
case with our team of professionals.
Every one of our individual project managers has accumulated over 25 years of experience in their respective
construction trades and are well suited for serious investors or existing property owners.
We are homeowners and investors just like you and we realize not everyone wants or needs a total remodel on every
project so we have listed a few of our skilled individuals below.
We have a common theme:
1- We perform as if the property were our own.
2- All projects completed correctly the first time.
3- Project costs maintained within a fixed customer budget.
4- Projects are managed until expeditiously completed (not left unattended).
In the end, our business grows through your satisfaction, repeat business and referrals!
Regards,
The Grey haired Guys

Ken Palin
Founder of FLOORWORKS, Facility Restoration and Construction Services,
and The Grey Haired Guys. Ken participated in construction projects from the age of fourteen. As teenagers, our
family owned a masonry company constructing and repairing brick and concrete block buildings to start, then contracted
for all the masonry work on ESPN’s very first building located one mile from our home in Bristol, CT. A few years later,
our family purchased a scaffolding company and started constructing, leasing, and selling scaffold all over New England,
a perfect complement to masonry work.
As the business grew, the company contracted to erect scaffolding and conducted repairs at numerous colleges, churches, Yale University in
New Haven, West Point Academy, Paul Newman’s’ Restaurant, and Phil Donahue’s’ Estate, to name a few.
In later years, Ken relocated to Dallas and invested five years as a commercial project manager installing concrete floor coatings in
restaurants, manufacturing plants and airplane hangars. Residential floor coatings and swimming pool concrete coatings were installed
under the name of FLOORWORKS. Ken invested the next five years as a project manager for a commercial paving company. In 1999, Ken
founded Facility Restoration and Construction Services, a commercial general contracting company.
The Grey Haired Guys simply evolved as we grew and gracefully aged over the years.
